I’m sorry, but if you teach your kid that its okay to thinks being gay is wrong, how can you be surprised when the kid says he hates gays, uses gay slurs, AMD is just a homophobic jerk? Teaching your kid homophobia is an opinion and that its okay for people to have different opinions isn’t going to stop him from growing up to be the kind of person I like to associate with because right now, at nine years old, my nephew is more vocally homophobic than many adults I’ve interacted with.
